The Houstonians Soccer Club competes across three elite leagues designed for long-term player development and high-level competition. We are active in the South Texas Champions League (STXCL), the premier regional league for competition within the South Texas area. Our participation extends to the ECNL Regional League (ECNL RL), the respected second tier of national youth soccer that offers vital collegiate exposure. Finally, we compete in the National Premier Leagues (NPL), a national platform offering regional competition and a defined path toward a national championship, all while prioritizing player development and compatibility with high school soccer.

The ECNL Regional League is the second level of competition in American soccer, with approximately 300 clubs in the ECNL RL Girls and 400 clubs in the ECNL RL Boys participating each year in the U13 – U18/19 age groups.

South Texas Champions League or STXCL was chosen to create a brand identity that better represents the region and the caliber of talent in the league. And while the look and name are new, our mission remains the same to fight For A Better Game.
National competition platform.
Governed by US Club Soccer, the National Premier Leagues (NPL) provide a national competition platform through regional leagues focused on long-term player development and high-level competition for U13-U19 boys and girls. The NPL's regional structure reduces travel while offering a path to a national championship, emphasizing consistent games, player identification programs, and compatibility with high school soccer.
Houstonians Soccer Club strategically participates in premier tournaments to maximize player exposure and provide high-stakes competitive experience. We regularly attend the nationally recognized Copa Rayados Internacional for both the major Thanksgiving and Easter events. These tournaments feature the highest level of competition, drawing elite professional youth academies from MLS and Liga MX, as well as top international teams, offering our players an invaluable chance to test their skills on a global stage.
